Update: 15/10/2015 08:41:00
During October 2-11, 2015, Consul General Rena Bitter visited Thua Thien Hue as her mission. One of her most remarkable activities this time was to have the investigation at Đại Nội (the Hue Imperial City), followed up a report by Hue Monuments Conservation Center on the Front part of Trieu Mieu Temple project's progress, sponsored by US State Department’s Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation in the morning of October 9, 2015. She said that it was wonderful to see how the work on this important cultural heritage preservation project is progressing. As estimated, this project would have been completed by the end of April 2016 on the occasion of Hue Festival 2016.

In the evening of the day, Consul General Rena Bitter, accompanied by her partners, hosted the performance presented by the artists of the Ballet Dance Company, a well-known contemporary ballet troupe from New York, together with approximately 100 dancing instructors and students of the Junior College of Culture and Arts at Duyet Thi Duong Royal Theater (in side Hue Imperial City). The performance at Duyet Thi Duong Theatre and one more at the Provincial Cultural and Information Center is part of a series of events which U.S. Mission to Vietnam has organized to celebrate the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relation between the United States and Vietnam.

In addition, on October 9, 2014, the US Consulate delegation also paid a visit to Hue University and then held an Education USA Fall Fair here to inform Hue University staff and students the U.S education system, scholarship programs, admission requirements and visa procedures.
