Thai To Mieu Temple

Thai To Mieu Temple is located at the Southeast of the Imperial City, constructed in 1804 under the reign of Emperor Gia Long to worship The To Gia Du Hoang De (Lord Nguyen Hoang), his empress and other Nguyen Lords.
In 1805, Emperor Gia Long had holy tablets of contributive mandarins of Nguyen Lords placed here. The main hall of Thai Mieu Temple is “double house” with thirteen apartments and two double lean-tos, the front all is with thirteen apartments and two single lean-tos. The East has Long Duc Temple, the South has Chieu Kinh Temple, the South has Muc Tu Temple, and the North has the square house. In front of Thai Mieu Temple, there is Tuy Thanh three storey attic. The Left House and Right House are at the South of Tuy Thanh Attic, where holy tablets of contributive mandarins are kept.
Within the complex of Thai Mieu Temple and Trieu Mieu Temple, there are the Than Tru House (kitchen) and Than Kho House (the storehouse) placed at paralel positions of the two temples.
